Franziska Furter’s striking pictorial world is imbued with vivacious dynamism. Her works visualise both shimmering lightness and permanence. The artist works in Switzerland and Berlin, where she repeatedly explores the immanence and creative force of the line in works on paper and three-dimensional objects.

This monograph is being published on the occasion of the exhibition at the Centre d’Art Contemporain Yverdon-les-Bains. It deals with her works of the past seven years. The essays by Nico Anklam, Fredrik Sjöberg and Karine Tissot highlight the nuances and essences in Furter’s work and soi facilitate discerning perspective on the artist’s oeuvre.

About the artist:
Franziska Furter (*1972) completed her training at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich and the HKG in Basel. Her works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions (Kunstverein Arnsberg, Palais de Tokyo – Module in Paris, Towner Gallery in Eastbourne, Kunsthaus Baselland). She lives and works in Basel and Berlin.
